Chrissy Metz is ready to make her own music.

“I absolutely would love that,” Metz, 38, told Us Weekly about recording her own EP or album. “I have a bunch [of songs] sitting around.”

The “This Is Us” star did not specify what genre of music she would like to record, but she revealed on SiriusXM’s Sway in the Morning that she’s been “writing some music with some writers in Nashville.”

Metz made her live singing debut at the Academy of Country Music Awards Sunday night. She performed “I’m Standing With You” from her current film, “Breakthrough.”

Songwriter Diane Warren, who wrote “I’m Standing With You,” said Metz is “the real deal.”

“She’s a real singer,” Warren told Us Weekly. “It was so great that I was like, ‘I don’t want anybody else on this song but her.’”
