Dear John: I am reaching out to you as I have read your answer to the individual who has some issues with Amazon shutting down their account unjustly and you managed to resolve the issue.

I recently got married, and moved to New York with my husband. We used Amazon for our wedding registry and many gifts were bought. Because of the move, we had to return many of the items with the thought of re-buying them when we were settled.

When we tried to re-buy the items a few weeks later, we received a notification that the order had been canceled and our Amazon account blocked. We contacted Amazon immediately, and it refused to give us more information as to why. It simply stated that it investigated and would not return our credit or allow us to use our account any longer.

We have tried to contact Amazon numerous times since, with no response. We had over $2,000 of Amazon credit, with which we were planning on setting up our home. Now all of our friends who bought the gifts paid Amazon, which has the returned items in its possession and the gift credit.
